Lenovo-IdeaPad-U150-LaptopMag.jpg

Laptop Magazine have published their review of the Lenovo IdeaPad U150 ultraportable. 'At 11.4 x 7.5 x 1.4 and 3.2 pounds, the IdeaPad U150 is larger than the 11.6-inch Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T (11.2 x 8.0 x 1.2 inches; 3.2-pounds), but lighter than both the Toshiba Satellite T115 (11.3 x 8.3 x 1.4 inches; 3.4 pounds) and the Dell Inspiron 11z (11.5 x 8.4 x 0.9 inches; 3.4 pounds). Only 0.5-inches at its thinnest point, the U150's six-cell battery juts out of the bottom, causing the chassis to stand at an angle and the thickness of the backside to balloon up to 1.4 inches. The IdeaPad U150's subtle design has some unique and attractive elements. The lid, which comes in either black or red, features a hard matte surface with subtle lines and a web pattern that reminds us of a DNA strand or series of atoms.'

Lenovo ThinkPad Edge Review - PC World

PC World havew published their review of the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge notebook. 'Though its 13.3-inch screen size puts this notebook in almost the same category as all-purpose machines, it is billed and sold as an ultraportable. It's slim and light enough (under 4 pounds without accessories) to qualify. As with many ultraportables, it utilizes an ultra-low-voltage processor that sacrifices performance for battery life. Our test system came equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo SU7300 processor at 1.3GHz, and starts at $799. A less-expensive, AMD-based system is available for as little as $579, but our experience with these processors tells us it would be a bit slower than the Intel flavor.'

A review of the Lenovo IdeaPad U450 widescreen notebook has been posted over at NotebookReview.com. 'The Lenovo U450 is black with a plastic casing and gently rounded corners and edges. The lid and area surrounding the keyboard (including the palm-rests) have a tactile, checkerboard-like pattern which resists smudging, fingerprints and scratching. Some may find this pattern distracting or annoying after prolonged use, but we see it as a nice design choice which gives this the otherwise plasticky case a bit of class and differentiates it from the shiny plastic all too common recently. The screen lid has a metallic, plastic Lenovo emblem embedded in the upper left. The bezel around the screen is shiny, smooth, black plastic and the hinges connecting it to the body seem fairly typical - plastic on the exterior and not overly tight or loose. The laptop is held closed by the tension of the hinges.

Lenovo-ThinkPad-SL510.jpg

CNET Asia have published a review of the Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 (Core 2 Duo Processor P 8700 2.5GHz, 3GB RAM). 'The SL510 starts at US$529, but that configuration has only a 1.8GHz Intel Celeron T3000 and no Webcam, Bluetooth or other bells and whistles. For US$1,024 in our build, you get a matte 15.6-inch screen in 16:9 aspect ratio, a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and a thick, solid chassis that's lighter than you'd expect. Customizable to the gills for 3G, antiglare, and the always popular fingerprint reader, the SL510 is exactly what it looks like: A large-screened business laptop that runs Windows 7. The good news is the tweaks are likely to make you happier if you're a ThinkPad person.'

Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y550.jpg

A review of the Lenovo IdeaPad Y550 15.6" multimedia notebook has been posted over at NotebookReview.com. 'The Lenovo IdeaPad Y550 has a modern design with a sleek shape and a rather pronounced contrasting color scheme. The exterior view of the Y550 when closed is thin and flat with a thick orange trim piece breaking up the two black halves on the notebook. From a distance the outside color of the screen cover appears to be matte black, but looking at it closer it is actually a faintly embossed surface. This particular design is an overlapping honey-comb finish that gives the notebook a nice subtle look while also giving it a light texture.'

Lenovo-ThinkPad-X200-Tablet.jpg

Notebook Review have published their review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC. 'The design of the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet is all about business, with no superfluous frills. The color scheme revolves around black, with the screen lid and bottom painted with a rubberized black paint and with the inside being lightly textured black plastic. Following the trend of function over form, Lenovo includes an externally mounted WWAN antenna, palmrest rubber bumpers for when the screen is in the slate position, and quick access buttons along the lower edge of the screen. From tech-geek standpoint it is also nice to see that Lenovo didn't hold anything back when they planned the port layout, using all available space for ports, expansion slots, and internal component access.'

A review of the Lenovo ThinkPad X200 Tablet PC (Multitouch) has been posted over at LaptopMag.com. 'The first thing you'll notice about the X200 Tablet is its small size and light weight. At 11.6 x 10.1 x 1.3 inches, the notebook is a little bigger than the 12-inch Dell Latitude XT2 (11.7 x 8.7 x 1.1 inches). According to Lenovo, the X200 Tablet (with a four-cell battery) weighs a netbook-like 3.5 pounds, but our review unit came with the eight-cell option (which protrudes out the back) and weighs in at 4.2 pounds. The X200 Tablet is nearly half a pound heavier than the Latitude XT2, but that system has a smaller six-cell battery.'

Lenovo-ThinkPad-T400s.jpg

Notebook Review have published a review of the new Lenovo ThinkPad T400s Notebook. 'The new ThinkPad T400s looks completely revamped and polished compared to the regular T400. The chassis has slimmed down significantly, and the weight of the notebook has also dropped by almost a pound. The exterior is still wrapped in Lenovo's much-loved rubberized black paint, but the design just looks cleaner and less busy than previous ThinkPad models. Looking inside, the main changes start to become obvious. Besides the new keyboard and touchpad that we will go over shortly, Lenovo changed the shape of the palmrest around the touchpad, with the touchpad resting flush with the palmrest instead of being slightly recessed.'

Lenovo-IdeaPad-U350.jpg

PC Magazine have published a review of the Lenovo IdeaPad U350 ultraportable. 'The U350 uses a 13.3-inch LED screen--bright, with good viewing angles to boot. The screen isn't any better or worse than the ones found in the MacBook Pro 13-inch and the MSI X340--both of which have similar WXGA (1,366-by-768) resolutions. The Dell Studio 14z, on the other hand, goes up a notch with a 14-inch widescreen and a 1,600-by-900 resolution. A good user experience is often defined by the keyboard, mouse buttons, and pointing device on a system. The U350's user experience ranks up there with that the Dell 14z and the Macbook Pro 13-inch, and more importantly, the keyboard doesn't vibrate or bend like that of the MSI X340.'

Lenovo G550 Review - Notebook Review

Lenovo-G550.jpg

Notebook Review have published a review of the Lenovo G550 Notebook. 'The design of the G550 has changed slightly from the G530, switching from a smooth matte exterior finish, to a black weave pattern. The new cover is every bit as strong as the last one, preventing any screen distortion even if you hit or flex the back of the screen. The interior of the notebook shares the same color as the lid, but is textured with a rougher matte finish similar to what you would find on unpainted sections of a ThinkPad. Lenovo took the back-to-basics route with the color scheme on this notebook, making it entirely black inside and out.'
