LG R200-Q Notebook Preview – CNET Asia

LG-R200-Q.jpg

CNET Asia have posted a preview of the new LG R200-Q Notebook.‘Integrated into the glossy black top cover is a secondary LCD panel. As mentioned, this takes advantage of Vista's SideShow technology that allows access to files and Outlook information without having to boot into the operating system. We like the touch-sensitive buttons, which are reminiscent of LG's Chocolate phone series. We could play music and view images on the secondary display. However, it must be noted that emails and calendar appointments have to be synchronized to the SideShow partition when the machine is turned on as the external LCD does not pull data real-time.’

LG C1 Tablet Reviewed

LG-C1.jpg

A review of the LG C1 Tablet PC has been posted over at Notebook Review. ‘The LG C1 is an impressive notebook Tablet PC convertible. Its lightweight design and glossy piano blue/black finish give this machine a professional appeal. Its Core Duo 1.2GHz processor doesn't lack in performance either. The C1 doesn't have an internal optical drive, but this keeps weight down and makes it easy to take anywhere, especially given the 10.6" WXGA display size. LG does have an external drive that is included in the price though. The C1 is perfect for users who are looking for something lightweight that runs Windows Vista. The only problem is getting your hands on one if you live in the U.S.’

LG R1-C001A9 Notebook Reviewed

LG-R1.jpg

The LG R1 Notebook PC has been reviewed over at Notebook Review. 'Starting with the CPU, we see the R1 employing the relatively new Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 operating at 1.86 GHz. Aside from a slower clock speed, the biggest difference between this CPU and the more expensive models in the Core 2 Duo line is the amount of level 2 cache. In the T5600's case it has 2 MB - half of what the bigger and better T7xxx series has. This is a great chip that is designed to hit a certain price point, but it will please almost anyone with its real-world performance.

LG S1 Notebook PC Reviewed

LGS1.jpg

Perry Longinotti, writing over at Notebook Review, has reviewed the LG S1 "premium" notebook. 'Handling the S1, it feels solid and flex-free. This notebook is made in Korea in an LG factory, no offense to Taiwan and China based ODM manufacturers, but everything else being equal I will always take the made in South Korea product. It is worth noting that LG used to make some of Compaq's nicest notebooks in Korea. This was back in the day, before the HP merger, when Compaq made some really nice notebooks.

LG P1 Express Dual Review

LG%20P1%20Express%20Dual.jpg

The LG P1 Express Dual notebook PC has been reviewed over at Notebook Review. 'LG are really doing a good job with their notebook line up. Their notebooks have great specs, great looks, good build quality and excellent screens. The LG P1 Express under is a multimedia notebook that can be configured with an ATI X1600 graphics card and a Core 2 Duo processor. The model under review however has an ATI X1400 card and older Core Duo processor. The P1 is light to carry compared to the competing 15.4" Toshiba Tecra with the same specs.'

LG S1 Notebook PC Review

LG S1.jpg

Perry Longinotti writing over at Notebook Review has posted a review of LG's "sexy" S1 notebook computer. 'Even though the price of basic computing continues to fall, and a nice notebook can be purchased for historically low prices this year, there is still an active and competitive high end. Notebooks like the Acer TravelMate 8204, Ferrari 4000 and 5000 series, MacBook Pro, ThinkPad T60 are some fine examples from companies looking to add some sex appeal to their lineups. I think the LG is an example of the latter.LG's notebooks, available in North America for about a couple of years now, are generally sharp looking machines with competitive specifications. Until recently they have not had a flagship model though. Enter the S1.'
