Geek.com have published their "Quick review" of the Gateway EC1430u notebook. 'The CULV, or affordable ultraportable, market has been tough to figure out, especially in sizes where the computers seem a lot like big netbooks. The EC1430u isn't a netbook though: it has a dual-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and 320GB of storage. It also sells for $550, much more than even a premium netbook. Despite what it does to separate it from the netbooks, it still runs integrated graphics, presenting a sticking point for anyone interested in HD video playback and who might also be considering something like the HP dm3z.'
