Lenovo 3000 C100 Laptop Review

PC Mag has reviewed the Lenovo 3000 C100 laptop computer and while the machine may satisfy the needs of the ordinary user with its standard configuration, the addition of of dual core capability would significantly increase the $999 base price. 'The laptop is thick and weighs 6.3 pounds. A plastic, silver-coated lid, reminiscent of the titanium cover on the Lenovo ThinkPad Z60m, covers the c100's rough body. It's a look well-suited to its budget price. The 15-inch screen has a maximum resolution of 1,024-by-768, and it's bright enough for all types of work.

The keyboard—the only design trait carried over from the ThinkPad series—is the best part of the notebook. The C100 doesn't have the patented TrackPoint technology, which I prefer over the touchpad. Nevertheless, the touchpad responded well to my fingers, but the amount of noise generated by the mouse buttons made my clicking experience uncomfortable.'
